the only fan of my MacBook got noisy a few month ago:
I was worrying too (see archive):
finally Aplle replaced the fan,
and so far everything is fine.
Nevertheless, arrange your laptop in such a way that
the default OS is OS X as they may check.

so last night i started hearing some mechanical grinding noises coming
from my laptop. it's a 15" MBP C2D and is only 2-3 months old. i'm 90%
sure it's fan0, as i can make the noise louder by manually increasing
the speed of fan0.
