This is apparently better than the accessibility inspector, formerly the

For those who are not sure what GUI scripting does, it is mostly used for

Yes, and that's when the troubles with youtube and ebay started. I'd
pretty much figured the first site would give me trouble but not the

HI:
The item chooser simply allows you to select something on a screen. For
instance if you are using Safari and you have chosen a news story link, you
could start typing the name of the story once you have brought the item
chooser up with VO/i and it would find it for you. it may show a li
Hello all, and I hope the New Year has started off well for you all. I have

appear to be back episodes available in the table that lists all episodes for
each podcast. These are undownloaded, and I would like to downloa
Did you install that Flash program that was recommended? I think it was a
Flash Input application or something like that. From what I understand, it
stops sites from playing Flash content, but am not sure if I understood that
correctly.

Now, when I visit ebay, it just quits on me. It doesn't show the site

program is open. Youtube, of course, doesn't play videos. What a
swell system this is. It'll hopefully be downgraded tomorrow. If I

Hi all,
Is anyone using this? I got it for Christmas, and it appears to be
less accessible than the earlier incarnation of this device. Voice
labels for all my tracks have been created. While a track is playing,
I can press the center button and hear the name of the current track.

Ok, then you've got Snow Leopard.

I forgot to ask this, sorry. How do I use the item chooser and does
it work like the links list? Does the find command finally work on

Well, I installed the plug-in. Hopefully, that'll fix the problem and
it'll also let youtube videos load without me having to do anything.

I certainly find it strange also. The reason I went down this path though is a

Ok, I know I shouldn't be even writing reguarding this since I am new to the
mac, but that is odd. In my opinion, all these issues should not be
happening if this is a fresh installation.

Hmmm. Strange. I haven't heard of anyone with MacBook Pros having those
issues regularly either. Hope all issues get resolved for all of you having
the Safari issue or any similar issues.
Rock on and keep smiling!!

Hi. yeah, I would find it odd that this would be a hardware issue. I
second the suggestion of doing a reinstall and testing it before installing
third party apps. also, be sure to update to the latest version of 10.5
available.
Cameron.

Anne I agree, it sounds more like there are other issues that have nothing to
do with the machine. perhaps if the issues are that severe, a complete
reinstall and test prior to loading any other apps on the machine is in order.
THis will help narrow things down as well in diagnosing issues.

I have two MacBooks, one from 2006 and one from 2007, and neither of them has
this problem. Oh, yes. They're both plastic cases.
I don't think this has anything to do with the type of machine, just the apps
people run on them.
Cheers,

Looks like the mac notebook products and Imac are especially prone to having

Hi Joe,
thanks for posting this link, I love this site. I wish you could
access the apps from there, but then again, that's probably one reason
it's so much easier to use.

Thanks Erik, that is at least another to keep in mind.

Hi Ester,
