Dropvox is another recording program but the difference is as soon as
you stop the recording it is immediately uploaded to Dropbox.

something I get in emails, so it is possible that VO is not jumping to the
linked locations, or that the email itself simply does not have its links set
up correctly.

commands in the terminal to enable hidden files in the finder:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
After that the finder should show everything. Ditto on the
aforementioned caveats.

Dunno anything about this specific NAS but if you want to do backups to
the drive for two machines you'll need to partition it into two pieces
and backup one Mac to each partition. Time machine consumes all
available space on a partition so you can't just back up two machines to
a single drive
