Tim may be right about this. But also, I believe that to use auto-login you have to re-enable it in the security pane of System Preferences. It's in General under Security. There's a checkbox for disabling automatic login. If that is checked and you haven't unlocked to make further changes, you

Hi, This is not normal behaviour. A 2010 iMac should handle Yosemite just fine. Have you checked in the Activity Monitor to see if anything is using up resources? It sounds to me like some sort of third party app or resource in conflict with VO. Either try a clean install with migration or
