Essentially your login password is protecting your Keychain database. That

not much else. If you want real security for your data, use FileVault, which

I was thinking the exact same thing. As anyone could just boot the system and
then hit command+R. I mean, surely there has to be some way to prevent just
anyone getting ahold of your mac and trying this little trick.

I’ll make a note of this one. I have a pretty good bag on the class side now,
I have a Waterfield which are hand made bags made from Italian leather. They
manufacture them in San Francisco and I’ve had one for years. Very expensive
but can take a beating and still look good.

If the user is an admin on the machine then you can reset the password using
the terminal from within the recovery console
I’ve done this a number of times but the problem I did have is when the reset
password screan goes to the back of the open windows and then I required
