There are several on eBay and Amazon. They use an app from the app store which
is accessible. I have an iDiskk with four interface ports. Note: on the Mac,
Windows, and Android devices, the disk can be accessed directly.
Some use SD cards. Mine is a built-in flash drive.

There use to be a Lightening to sd card adaptor for the iPhone and iPad but
that was to work as a photo viewing platform,
So the phone or pad will view photos from the sd card.
I do believe you can change this if you jail break your phone.
Not something I'd recommend.
