A problem with .m4p files

I have a number of m4p files that are no longer in my music library, but are on my hard drive in the apple music folder under itunes Media. Since they are not in the library, the Music app does not see them. How can I open them. I try bringing up the shift+VO+M and choosing open with the Music a
