Good morning everyone on here.
Well it's that time in England.
Please can anyone tell me how to turn off the display so it doesn't go black
after so many minutes?
This isn't for me, this is for my friend in Australia who is trying to do this
on the M1.
Both him and me have looked everywhere in
Try looking in system preferences, then energy saver if on a desktop, or
battery if on a laptop.
I think you'll find it there.

Hi all,
Question says it all. I have no problem finding the one I want, but no key
that I press seems to insert it into my document. I’ve tried space, enter, and
command option space. What’s the magic key? Running Monterrey now, in case
that’s relevant.
Thanks,
Donna

Just VO-space works perfectly for me.

I honestly was wondering that myself, sense I’ve run into that same issue.

I use a third party app called Rocket as I couldn’t get the emoji's to play
nice on the Mac. A work around though, you could use your phone to create text
replacements with an emoji then use the key combination on the Mac. this even
saves time on the phone as well if you have common emojis you
Hello,
I just tried inserting emojis. After finding the one I wanted, I pressed
VO-Space (i.e., Caps lock-Space or Control-Option-Space) and that worked.
VoiceOver announced the inserted emoji, and it was definitely in my document.

Glad I’m not the only one. The weird thing is that it occasionally works. I
just haven’t been able to identify a pattern. Although I did just VO-space,
and that did work.

It worked when I just tried it a minute ago, but VO didn’t announce anything,
and my cursor wouldn’t go anywhere until I navigated away from the message and
then back to it.

Interesting idea. Maybe a dumb question, but how would you do that?

When I just tried it it worked, but I was messy. VO didn’t give me any
indication that it had worked, and when I pressed escape to get out of the
emojis, my cursor wouldn’t go anywhere until I navigated away from the message
and then back again. Very strange.

Using the phone, go to Settings, General, Keyboard, and text Replacement. go
to the add button, the first option is the phrase, Switch to your emoji
keyboard on the phone and find emoji you want. then in the shortcut field,
write the key combination you want for that Emoji. something like S F
How does it get transferred from the iPhone to Mac? Is it just automatic?

Where do you get this rocket app from?

Okay great. I’ll give that a try and see if that works on my Mac. Can you
rebuild a mailbox on the iPhone? My accounts are synced between both devices
and I’d like to get my other emails back on my phone that disappeared from my
inbox.

I keep being referred to the regular support because they only work on problems
with the accessibility features. They tell me they aren’t able to help when I
call them about , say trying to synch my new AirPods. The person I then speak
with keeps giving me visual instruction like tap the blue bu
Hello,
I recently upgraded my 2018 iMac to Monterey 12.4. Since then I have suffered
from VO constantly saying “accessibility shortcut has keyboard focus” followed
by Universal Access Control and a list of possible accessibility options. As
you can imagine this is very disruptive!
After trying
Oh, wow! I knew you could do that for text phrases, but I didn’t know it
included emojis as well. That’s very cool! I’m going to set that up. Thanks
for the tip.
