Opening a Contiguous Set of Text Files Into a Single Document

Dear all, I want to thank each of you who took time to give ideas on why I was failing so badly. Because of you, I can now edit callendar events. I can add attachments and read them. Mail is still a hit and miss but its getting better! I haven't been back to pages yet, nit I think I know how to
