Here is some information on getting various embossers, including very old
parallel embossers working on MacOS.

Danger Will Robertson! Doing Braille translation inside the embosser does
not permit you to correct any translation errors the internal software
might make, and every translation software make errors even DBT. You also
can not modify the layout of the Braille pages. What is happening is the

Here is how it can be done:
1. Navigate to the object to be dropped.
2. Press VO-comma on the object
3. Navigate to the location to drop the object.
4. Press VO-period.
At this point the system will move the mouse cursor to the object and then
move and drop the object at the location choosen

OK here is a simple AppleScript that will announce the status of the
battery I have attached the script to this post as well.
*set* batstat *to* *do shell script* "pmset -g batt"
*say* batstat
You could also do this from a shell script or in the terminal as well like
this:
pmset -g batt | s
OK we have two issues here. One is generating Braille files, sometimes
called BRF file and the other is embossing the files.
The only option for translation on Mac right now is to use liblouis you can
do this either online or from a program. Another option is to use the
robobraille service

Just what are you trying to do? Could you give an example. Changing the
output of sounds on Mac is not done in the VO utility program.

OK let me make this a bit clearer.
IN the MacOS there is a system wide scripting language called AppleScript.
You can use it to automate actions in various programs or as in this case
create scripts to have VoiceOVer perform actions.
tell application "VoiceOver"
output "Hello World"
end tell
There is another ways to do this using AppleScript here is an example:
*tell* *application* "VoiceOver"
*output* "Hello World"*end tell*
More information on programing an control over VoiceOVer using Applescript
(think of it rather like JAWS script for VoiceOver) can be found at

Hello;
Could I get a few more details on item number 2 on this list? Just where
within iTunes does this problem exhibit itself? Are you on a particular
control that you expect a contexual menu to appear? What would that item be?
Any help would be welcome.

I suspect that this is just the opening salvo in the end of the Window
screen reader war. I suspect we will see WindowEye become the built in
screen reader of Windows and with that JAWS and the other will die on the
vine as it were. No one is going to pay for a screen reader if they get one

It is interesting to note that the ribbons were accessible, much of
the user interface is as well. It is the main content areas that are
not accessible.

I fear you shall not find symmetry in your world...Samantha is a
Microsoft Windows SAPI voice and is not an option for Macintosh users.
