Nic,
Thanks, that is what I get as well, I just should have had VO put that in the
message. Well still no joy, but I will continue to poke at this problem from
time to time and I may stumble over the answer yet.

Hi Scott,
No, mine just says this: "Virtual machine list, one item selected. Windows 7,
empty dimmed table row."
That's what I get.

Nic,
Just curious, but does the table say something like the name of the VM and this
is s a dimmed table? There is some sort of tracking issue and I've changed all
the possible settings. I did however use the simulated mouse keys, but even
when locating the table, it says it is dimmed out, so t
Hi,
When you try using VO-Command-F5, it should say something like "Virtual machine
list". Make sure VoiceOver is actually focussed on the item, and that you are
using the VoiceOver keys to navigate the table. The only thing I can think of
is that if VoiceOVer doesn't track keyboard focus prope
Hi Nic,
Yes, it is strange and it is the same issue my friend is having as well. Seems
when trying to route the mouse pointer to the location, VO says there is
nothing under the mouse. So, that would indicate the mouse pointer is not
tracking with VO or for some reason cannot enter that table a
Hi Scott,
I really just have everything following one another. The table doesn't seem to
track right, so I have to move the mouse there with VO-Command-F5, then
control-click on the machine I want. It's very strange why you're not getting
any results.

Nic

Nic, that would be nice if it would really help, but in this case it seems to
be an issue between VO and Fusion. I used to be able to do this, but so far no
luck. I am going to try a few things, but I am curious how you have the
settings under navigation in the VO utility configured.
Thanks for

Hi, My mouse says that I am on the correct library but control+mouse click does
not bring up the menu for me. I have never gotten this to work.

Hy Nic, interestingly command-VO-f5 indicated that I was on the correct
library, but VO-f5 says nothing is under the mouse. I might have to get a set
of eyes on this to see what is

Hi,
It's shut down. It's weird it isn't working. The menu ought to pop up. You
might want to confirm the mouse cursor is actually there with VO-F5.

Nic,
Just curious, do you have to have the OS shut down or can it be suspended? I
performed the steps, but what seems to happen is I get the sound like a menu
has appeared and then the VM launches. Hmmm, this is not the behavior I
experienced in the past. Thoughts appreciated.
tnx,

Hi Nic,
Thanks, for some reason that did not work for me, but I'll give that another
try. That is what I recalled as well for changing this behavior, so at least
you helped to confirm the process.

Hi,
You can change this by doing the following.
1. Find the virtual machine you want in the VIrtual machine Library. Hit
COmmand-Shift-L to bring this to the foreground.
2. If the Mouse is not currently focussed on the machine you want when using
the VoiceOver keys to locate the virtual machine
Thanks, but what I was trying to find out is this and it's to help a friend. He
installed windows as a VM and whenever he launches Fusion, windows starts
automatically and this is not the behavior he wants. He just wants Fusion to
open and then select the VM he wishes to launch.

I've found the easiest way is to go to the Vmware image and just open it.
Fusion will start automatically. Not sure if this answers your question or not.
