Hi Jonathan,
Sorry I’m only now responding to this. That’s a good idea, I may give it a
try. But now that I know how to get to the notification, it’s not too much of
a bother.
Take Care,

Perhaps if you go into the Notifications and Focus area of System Preferences
and change your notifications to alert instead of banner, you will get the Big
Sur behavior?

For now I’m undecided. On the one hand, it’s easier now to just go on and do
whatever it was that you wanted to do in the first place. On the other, every
time you reopen your computer that stupid notification is just going to pop up
again, so you might as well just dismiss it the first time.
Perhaps my memory fails me. I don't recall Big Sur being any different from
Monterey with regard to interacting with notifications.

Hi,
It may have depended on the specific notification. Those persistent ones that
remain on the screen may have often been given automatic focus by VO, I can’t
recall. I do recall though that it was slightly different in Big Sur. I

Huh. I don’t know what to tell you, but it was different for me in Big Sur.
Maybe there was some setting that was different.

Well, there's no reason why it should be any different on your machine running
big serve than it is when running Monterey. It is the same on both of my
machines.

Actually, Brad, for me it is different. In Big Sur, the focus was
automatically placed there. I did not have to press VO N.

I had a bit of trouble with the correct command so just went
straight to the app to put a stop to those alerts.

Actually, if there is an on screen notification, you should be able to place
focus on the notification by pressing VO + N, then use your Down Arrow key to
select the desired notification.
Once selected, you can use the Actions Menu (VO + CMD + Spacebar) to select the
desired action.

Hi,
Press VO-n to bring focus to the notifications, down arrow once then press
return. This will bring focus to the specific notification that was being
announced. Now, you can press VO-cmd-space to be able to choose from the
actions. You should have things like “close”, “Press”, “Accept”

Hi all,
Ever since upgrading to Monterrey, when I open the lid on my M1 MacBook Air and
get a calendar notification, I don’t seem to be able to access it to make it go
away. Under Big Sur, I used to be able to press VO-CMD-space, and dismiss the
notification. But now, if I do that, the focus
