Hey that is great. I didn't know that Writer has RTF support. I
already have this app, had forgotten about it. Now I will definitely try
it. And maybe become an esteemed writer too. :)

Hey ET,
Yes, that is the developer.
I also found another possible solution. I just downloaded Voice Dream Writer. I
never really thought about it, because I don’t need that kind of writing
support, but it does open and edit RTF files. It also has an option to export
to Word, though it says it’
Donna,
Think I found it, if the developer is Nam Le. Will install it soon.

I was surprised by that too. The name of the app is text editor. It’s $.99.
Pretty simple, but it does let you read an edit.
Cheers,

You made progress. What is the exact name of the paid app? I may
want to give it a go too. I am somewhat surprised that there is not a
native TextEdit for iOS.

Hi, ET,
I download it yesterday. I found two apps with similar names, one was free, and
one was $.99. I downloaded them both. The free version seemed to show a lot of
the text coding, so I didn’t really care for that. The $.99 version seems to
give me a nice view of my RTF document and it looks

Donna,
Does TextEditor work for you? I have not had a chance to really work
with it but it is in iCloud Drive so is accessible to Windows, Mac and
iDevices.

Hi Gabe,
Thank you for the suggestion. What I’m trying to avoid is having to export the
file back-and-forth between pages and word multiple times. I switch
back-and-forth frequently between Mac iPad and PC, so I’m trying to minimize
the number of times I have to convert the file to one from one
Hi Donna,
I've never tried exporting a file from my phone but in Pages on the Mac you can
export a file to many different formats including MS Word. This is what I use
any time I'm going to need to work on a file using a computer or other device
that supports Word files but not Pages. I know it

There is not a stand alone version of MS Word for iOS.
The only way to use it is to sign-in with a paid Office365 account UserID and
password. Access to the iOS apps is part of the subscription package.

Hi all,
Anyone using MS Word on their iPhone or iPad? I just downloaded it, and it
keeps prompting me to sign in to edit documents. I can’t believe Microsoft will
give me access to Office 365 for free, so do not want to create an account.
Does anyone know if you can download a stand-alone versi
