For some years if one has a mail version of netflix the online version is
included, including the $9 one at a time dvd plan. Now the $8 version is
available for online only.

If I'm understanding the situation correctly, there are two ways to watch
movies on the Apple TV. The first involves renting movies or tv shows through
Apple. if you do things this way, you don't need a subscription to netflix
since you aren't dealing with them at all.
The other opti
$8 for unlimited streaming is a good deal IMHO. You get a free one month trial,
so you can check it out at no cost if you cancel prior to the end of your one
month. For an extra $2 a month, you can get 1 dvd at a time from their mail
service as well, which gives you access to a lot more material
