True. I brought up Alex, and he behaves with volumes. Tome is just being
irritating. But at least Tome knows how to describe negative numbers in
spreadsheets.

Hi,
It must be an artifact of the Tom voice. My Alex voice does not seem to have
that stuttering issue. Ah, Eloquence, so many people seem to have fond
memories of them. I do not. I found them very robotic sounding. Oh well,
that's why we have things called "Preferences", I guess.

There is always Infovox voices. But just to note, I do not hear this
particular one with other voices.

Did you notice that the word volume is spoken as “volume volumes” by VO each

This has to do with APFS, Apple File System.

Hello all,
When I went to erase my drive during the clean install it asked me if I wanted
to erase the volume or erase the volume group. What is the difference between
erasing the volume or the volume group?
Thanks,

Hello,
I have a quick question about doing a clean install. Is it better to erase the
hard drive first and then install or just do the reinstall without erasing
first?
Thanks
You can do all that once you boot the installer. Disk Utility will
be one of the items in the menu.

If you wanting a clean install, then you'll need to do the erase of the drive
first. This will wipe the drive clean, then you'll be installing a fresh new
copy of the MacOS. If you install first, then you're not performing a clean

Hi,
Just a note regarding this. If you plan on migrating everything back from your
Time Machine backup, then it is unnecessary to do the clean install. When you

Okay, thanks, yep, I stopped time machine and was planning on disconnecting the
