is asking for user name, password. However, I cannot get vo to navigate to that

I'd suggest reinstallign the app totally so you can see the message in the
install box. You cannot see this window as it is not accessibal with vo. I've
contacted supp...@dropbox.com over and over again with no results and no
responce that they will look in to it.

Try hitting command option escape, that will bring you to the apps that are
open. It will force which ever one you want to quit. See if Dropbox is listed
there. That is what I tried to do.

Have you tried restarting? I had to do that as well. Once you get it to
install, you'll be fine, but for some reason it's just really buggy with that
one window.

It does, but it's a bit fiddly. I have my view set to "as columns" in Finder.
You have to interact with the file list first, then navigate with arrows to the
file you want to get the public link to. Only available in the dropbox\public
folder. Then, the "copy public link" is in the dropbox menu.

Ok switch to list mode with cmd 2 then interact with the table there and focus
on the zip folder. Now vo shift m and go down to dropbox link. you should see
this now.

If you are not now paying for Dropbox storage then you have to make
a decision.
You get 2gigs free. If you need more space, you pay so much for so
much space. I do not know what the pricing is.
If you do not want to pay, then you need to move some of that 2gigs
elsewhere.

and password, checked the agreement, and clicked on download, but the download
never happened. I tried several times.

A couple of things.
You don't absolutely need the DropBox "app" - what the download does is
simply create a folder in the Finder and a DropBox folder listing in the
left pane of every Finder window. It also creates an icon in your menu bar
(it looks kind of like an open box with four flaps) tha

I do understand about selective folders, but as I understand it, I can only
choose among folders that are in my original Dropbox folder. What I am
hoping to do is to have Dropbox include folders from two different drives.
