Image stabilization is an issue. On my drones they have auto stabilization
features in the camera itself and in the gimbal. The only mounts I can think

Scott, the thing I’m concerned about is image stabilization. I know the iPhone
6S is supposed to have more of that when shooting videos but given the walking
kinds of videos I’m planning, there isn’t a good mount for the phone.

thanks.
I’ll be doing demos of dog care, training, etc. Of course I’d like them to
look as good as possible. doing all this as a total will be interesting, to
say the least, so any suggestions of apps, etc, besides the camera, would be
helpful!

Hi, very good question. It depends on what you’re doing. If you’re just doing
the odd shot of family to share then the phone is fine. The iPhone has a very
very good camera built in, it’s actually a Sony censor if memory serves.
If you want to do heavy duty recording then a GoPro or similar i
Would you recommend the go pro over using just an i phone for shooting videos
for youtube?
thanks,

Sweet Scott. the listed price was about $100 more than that for the Session.
The Sony was priced at $145 on the CNET review site.

Jenine,
I have the GoPro Hero 4 Black. It comes with several mounts and I
also bought the chest strap. Thanks to Scott, I may actually be able to
use this with the iPhone app. Yes its pricey but this is a well made
product.

I bought a session for $129 which isn’t bad, not sure the price on the Sony.
Best Buy has good prices on them.

Sorry, Scott reminded me that the camera’s name I am looking at is the GoPro
Session, not Select. Duh.
Still considering the Sony because of price.

George, All I mentioned was that they are very easy to use. You insert a card
and press the button on the side of the front like a regular camera. It beeps
which means the video starts, beeps again means it stops.
You can then remove the card and edit as you wish or you can use the

Janine, feel free and write me off list. I just recently bought a pile of
GoPros and accessories so at least can help out on that side.

So the Go pro is pretty usable even with out the app. The nice thing is you
have a button on the side which is a simple start and stop recording button and
everything is dropped to an SD card where you can copy it and work with the
video. The APP is more of a file transfer / file editing / sim
Thanks much. My other big question is about accessories for both cameras but
that’s beyond this list.

I’m looking to buy a GoPro or similar camera for recording motion, walks, etc.
I’ve narrowed my selection down to the GoPro 4 Select and the Sony Mini.
Does anyone know how accessible the phone apps to control these cameras are?
I’m leaning toward the Sony for price but don’t want to buy it and
