I've taken a read of what's available about the new Karabina Elements, as I'm really keen to get this functionality back. I wasn't able to work out how to create a configuration file that remaps the capslock key. If just one of us could get to the bottom of the way to do this, we could make the

Hi Traci, I don’t see why not as this is exactly the kind of use case for Karabiner. But I’m going to wait until the Sierra version is a little more mature before giving it a go as it’s only in the pre-release stage and everything has to be edited manually in configuration files. On their websi

Hi Scott, Unfortunately not, the caps lock key is not passed directly through to a virtual machine unless you use a third-party utility to remap it to something else. A few of us were using a couple utilities called Karabiner and Seal to do this, but those do not yet function under Sierra. Gra

Hi Megan, A new version of Karabiner is being developed for Sierra. Currently however, you have to remap the key by creating a configuration file manually. Here is the info in case you’d like to give it a shot: https://github.com/tekezo/Karabiner-Elements

Megan, I am not yet running Sierra. Unless the scheme changed in the latest Fusion, you can remap the NVDA key in VMware Fusion settings. I remapped to the accent key which is above the capslock key. From E.T.'s Keyboard... Are We Alone in the Universe? ancient.ali...@icloud.com On 9/24/
