I have never been very clear about the different navigational methods on the
Apple TV. Can someone explain the difference between direct touch and follow
focus? I’ve always used follow focus, because most of the time it seems to work
better.

Well, apple has assumed that everyone that uses VoiceOver uses direct touch. I
know I have never had an issue with it. Anyway, if you insist using follow
focus, the thing you will have to do when you want to swipe up, is put the
remote in navigation mode. To do this triple tap with 2 fingers
