No there wasn't. I just usually use the touch bar, but had been thinking I
wanted to give experiment with making it behave like function keys. Jenny
actually got me to what I was after, which was how to make the touch bar behave
like standard function keys. Thanks as always for your

It still works that way for me, albeit a limited set. Try using your Keyboard
Practice mode to confirm what is supposed to happen when pressing the specific
key combination. For example, after pressing VO-k to enable Keyboard Practice,
press VO-1 then VO-FN-1 and note the differing

If you press the VO keys plus the Function button as you touch the row of
function keys on the Touch bar, the keys will read correctly. You can
activate them by double-tapping the function number key you want while holding
down the VO plus Function button in the bottom-left corner.
That was working here with any of the VoiceOver commands that involve the
function keys. Was it working for you and it stopped?
