Apple TV. How on earth do I do this?
The web link is quite long so typing it in on the TV isn’t an option.

Hi,
If you use Airplay Mirroring from your Mac, you can play it from your Mac onto
the Apple TV without needing to enter anything on your Apple TV. Make sure
your Apple TV is turned on, on the same network as your Mac, then press VO-m-m
to access the Extras menus, locate the AirPlay Displays m
Thanks much. ‘ll definitely try this.

If it's like iOS, there is no option to add it; it should just magically appear
if OS X detects an Airplay compatible device on your network.

I stand corrected. After polking around, there is a check box to "display
mirroring options in menu bar when available" in System Preferences > Display.

I just do not understand what is wrong. I make sure my iMac using OS 10.9.5 is
on the same WiFi Network as my iPhone 5 S using IOS 8.3. I even make sure
Bluetooth is turned on the iMac and iPhone. System Prefrences/Displays/AirPlay
Devices says No Devices found. I also see nothing in the Menubar

True, there is airplay. I thought however he was directly wanting to play

OK? Did you go into system preferences, and then go to Displays? There
should be a checkbox in there to enable airplay in the menu extras.
