Hello, FYI I received the answer from E.T. whoo often posts to this list. He told me to first open the desired App in IOS, which in my case is VoiceDream Writer. You then open the Files App and locate the desired file and do a 1 finger double tap. This opens the file using the desired App. IOS seems to set this App as the App to open files of the same filetype. This all worked fine for me using the latest IOS 16.4.1.
