No, I have no Rogue Amoeba apps and it happens to me as well on Sonoma. There
doesn't seem to be any proximate or obvious cause: it just happens randomly.
Glad it’s fixed in Sequoia though! I’ll be upgrading my main machine to that
soon.

however I am not hearing it in Sequoia, so if it is really annoying to you I
suggest you do the sequoia update.
