Hi all
Yes, Youtube is fully accessible on the mac using the stock Safari browser. No
third party app is needed or anything, not even stupid Flash. I say hats off
and can’t wait to show my girlfriend and list member Hannah Youtube on her
first mac.

Thanks so much. I thought that in Safari they had added a feature to easily
control video playback but I can never find. Also, thanks so much for the
letter K hint as I wasn’t aware of this shortcut. I really appreciate that and
it will help tons on youtube.

I do not believe that there is a generic key or method which will stop
all web videos playing. It depends on what plug in or web element
Safari is using to play the video.
If it is in Youtube, and if you have quick nav turned off, then K should
work providing that window is in focus.

Hi Cristina. How are you? Did you try to press letter k in ordr to stop the
video? That is a shortcut key in ordr to stop a video in youtube. Hope this

Hi all,
I thought there was a quick way to stop a video that starts playing. Sometimes
it’s in another safari window and I can’t even find it. Sometimes, I can’t
figure out how to turn a video off and the only way seems to be to close the
window or tab completely.
