Labeling buttons in an app on the mac

Hi guys, have a curious quick question. Using iHeart Radio on the Mac, I think I’ve figured out the buttons, but they’re not labeled. How does one go about relabeling buttons in an app on the mac. I can do it on the phone all day long but when it comes to the mac desktop I’m clueless. thanks
