This is true. But I think most will agree who have used word and pages, you
have to jump through many more hoops to get certain tasks done in pages. A lot
more 6 and 7 step processes. From an accessibility stand point,I think iWorks
just need to be streamlined, so one don't have to rely on so

release of the iWOrks suite and will no doubt address some of the accessibility

I agree that Pages and Numbers work just fine. In fact, I like them better than
Word and Excel. Numbers accepts Excel formulas, but in many cases, you can use
tyhe function of Insert plus Function. I love that. The other thing is that
VoiceOver is not as complicated as, say, Jaws to set

I tested this in bot open office and libreoffice and can conferm that
libreoffice has a problem with vo not speaking as I type. Openoffice works
just fine. Note I am using libreoffice 3.5 r.c 3. HTH.

so I don't know if 10.7 broke it or an update to Open Office did. Maybe

Same problem here. Just downloaded & installed Libre. Checked it out & was
really impressed with the features & logical layout. Then, I started
typing…what a downer! Hope some one else knows how to make the typing echo
work or it's back to Pages, which really doesn't seem very intuit
