this might be a situation where you have to play with both and see which works
best for you. However, the advantage for you with list view is it’s what you
already know.

i used to love : column View but i find list view works better with folders
with lots of files in them.
This is just my personal observation and admittedly i have not played with the
settings for a wile.

Are you aware of the command arrow down shortcut to open the selected folder?
And, command up arrow to return you to the parent folder while in list view?
That’s my preferred method of navigating finder windows. This is normal Finder
behavior and not unique to VO.

If you’re in column view, position yourself on the folder in which you want the
files to appear before pasteing them.
