Hi,
How do I load a specific firmware in iTunes on to an ios device?
On the pc what I do is hold down shift when I press the check for update
button, but I am unsure how to do this same process on the mac.
Thanks for any suggestions you guys may have.

Exactly the same. Shift-space will achieve the same result on both
platforms.
