retina macbook pro. Ive taken your advice very seriously and I thank you. I
will get the latest model. This is after all an investment for many a year to
come, I hope.

While I concur with the recommendation to get the newer models for efficiency
reasons, I feel I should point out that the older MacBooks are still on sale
with optional SSDs, and that they come with both Ethernet and optical drives
