It turned out Firefox wasn't of help anymore than Safari or
Google-Chrome. We resolved the problem by having the VMware tech email

Hi, My second update on my problem with of no sound in my virtual
machines after upgrading to VMware 8.
After getting through the issues of allowing VMware support remote
access to my Airbook, the problem for Windows 7 was solved fairly
easily. There was apparently a screen popup that I had never

I just tried the link and typed a number in that field. Use the tab key. No
need to use that interacting behaviour.
I don’t know what version you were using but I was using my 2013 Air still
running Yosemite
