Yes, it will be run on the virtual machine on the Mac as well as on a
window laptop itself.
The reason why I brought up this topic is because i'm rather bias
towards the k1000 has been for years. I just want to get some non-bias
opinion on it.

Well, I certainly can't speak to the merits of open book, as I have been a K
1000 user for many years. However, unless you use some of the many specific
features that are unique to K 1000 and possibly open book, I'm just not sure,
