I have some MP3 files in my iCloud and I can listen to them on my iPhone, but I
want to be able to increase the speed since it is just speech. Has anyone got a
good solution to this?

The Books app can also do this if the files are compatible with with the app.
That is, they are m4b format. VoiceStream Reader is an excellent app as well
as Brad mentioned.
