I do it a different way, though your sounds easier. I select the tracks I want,
and hit cmd-c. I go to the sources table, select my playlist, and press cmd-v.
It pastes the selected tracks into the playlist.

I have figured out how to create a playlist in iTunes but how do I put music
into that playlist?
