Hi Ramy, To do a full format and re install You will need an installer device, Then you boot the machine on to that and then under disk utilities you eraise the macintosh hd volume and then go back to utilities and start the new installation. This of course will whipe the intire system volume

Ramy, To me, a clean install is doing it all from scratch. Running a backup is always a good idea. The only data I restored was documents, media, and the Windows VM. I also downloaded most of the apps ahead of time and put them on an external drive. Create the installer on a USB stick.
