I noticed this as well. It looks like an interesting product and the
installation is very accessible but it all goes sideways once you run the
application for the first time. To bad bu I like fusion well enough so at
least we have a very good option there and virtual box will be the next thing

There is the command control to release but no command G in my fusion 8.5.

I use Fusion with multiple VMs every day and I don't have an issue
reliably getting input captured by the VM.
What I do is use VO to move right along the buttons on the VM
interface. After the "full screen" button I get the name of the VM
read out and when focus is on that any keystrokes go to the

I do not remember what version of Fusion I started with. I do not
think the force grab function was brought over to version 8. It used to
be on the Virtual Machine menu. I looked at version 8 release notes and
found nothing.

and my frustration level is still a bit high so will not run it again

I misspoke I meant command G not control G. Command G doesn’t seem to do
anything for me, maybe I’m using it at the wrong time, not sure.

For me this is a significant frustration.

my mind this functionality is a feature we should demand of VMware. I'm
not sure where to file the RFE, but if someone knows or posts one,

I do not see that command in my list of shortcuts. When I load my VM
and wait long enough to let Windows fully load. I press Cmd-G to grab
the keyboard and then Cmd-Ctrl-F to enter full screen.

ScottI don’t know about control + g. What sometimes helps is to switch to full
screen mode with cmd + control + f. Then turn it off with the same keystroke.
I also tend to disable voiceover once I am safely in the VM with cmd + control
followed by cmd + f5.
