When you download then close the installer, the installer is resident in your
apps folder.
Frankly, from your description, sounds to me like your drive is to small to
acomodate the installer alone.

Hi, if you install from a DVD does it generate one of those ridiculous recovery
particians? That was one big showstopper for me upgrading to lion. I'm on a
