Good grief. All this time I thought I had "disable filters" on. Now
it really is. Verified when I scrolled down in the View menu and the
Unread option, while its checked, is dimmed. Thanks for that!

the filter.

While looking for an issue in Mail under Ventura I notice I do not
see messages that have been read. Is there a setting for this? I did not
