I have an example for this, though it is for moving files to folders, but when
you get into automator you can change the paremeters to make it a mail
attachement to folder.

You can use automator to create a service or right click shortcut with a
precision on the folder to which you wish to save the mail attachement.
THere's no need of applescript for this, although you can do it.
