Usually if I need to get output from Terminal I just clear the buffer
(Command-K), execute the command, then Command-A Command-C and edit once I
paste it. However, the VoiceOver selection command (VO-Enter) also works to
start and stop selection, prior to Command-C for copy.

I haven't tried this extensively yet but the few things I did paste worked out
rather well. If you press command return instead of just return when you
execute the command it marks the output. Then you can do command shift a and
that will select marked output. and then command c to copy and comm
