So I finally got to the payment screen on the VMware website and I didn't get a
discount but the order didn't go through as there was a server error on their
site. So I wish VMware would get their act together if they wanted people to
buy their products.

Well, half an hour after my error, I had a e-mail from Paypal to say that my
purchase was successful. I then rang the support at VMWare to make sure I had
not been charged twice. I also got told because I had purchased a licence
after the full year, I was not eligible for a discount so had to
