Ricardo,
The sidebar just provides a quick way to access a number of items at once. In
other words, instead of having to hit command-shift -c for computer, etc. you
can use the sidebar to get to connected devices, your home folder, etc. It
really is a more visual tool, but is available with a l

Sidebar specifically. YOu are correct that in the dialog boxes for
opening/selecting files within apps the sidebar behaved as you stated.
Thanks for clarifying.

Well, Scott, b my guest. It really wasn't any big deal. It worked about like
any other situation in which I would move the vo cursor and the keyboard would
track. Probably a little more flaky than most situations, but nine times out
of ten it would work. I should also say that I'm speaking o
Really? Now that is quite interesting and I will have to dig up my SL install
and check that out because that has not been possible for me. So, are you using
just the standard arrow keys? You are not using quick nav etc.? I am quite

Scott,
I have always been able to use the arrow keys to move between items in the side
bar. Also, I have always been able to press a letter key to jump to an item as
the original post mentioned.

My experience has been that You have always had to VO-down/up arrow to navigate
through the sidebar. This has been the case for as long as I can recall.

That is correct.
It appears that keyboard navigation in the side bar is gone in lion. As
with other areas in lion, it seems that the kb focus doesn't track with vo.
Itunes 10.4 is something of a reck in my opinion. I don't strictly mean how it
works with VO either Although, it is probably
Hi, folk,
I've noticed in Lion that the Sidebar in Finder doesn't seem to track
first-letter navigation, making it necessary to VO-down-arrow through it.
Anyone else notice this?
Also, the latest ITunes sources area doesn't seem to be a list or table
anymore. When I press m for music, for exam
