Another thing you can do from the terminal to sync your time the first time in
case you have to much deviation from realtime is the following.
Enter terminal
Sudo ntpdate time-a.nist.gov
You may replace the server with one of your choice, I use NIST but you may use
any time source that meets
On my Yosemite iMac Startup Disk is already unlocked. It’s controlled from
Security & Privacy, General tab, Advanced button, and the funny checkbox that
changes its name. Make sure it’s unchecked so it says something like “Some
System Preferences with lock icons will be unlocked”, or some

Terminal and also checked to see if Startup Disk is Apple Scriptable. There
