The say command in terminal does it easily.

The say terminal command might ve just what you need. The save selection to
iTunes automation available in the drop-down menus uses to say command to
perform the actual speaking.

Anyone no of a good app for converting text to speech, in to audio.
I’d like to be-able to split the text in to key words.
For example, if the text says chapter 1, split that and make a new audio file.
These are mostly fanfics I’m reading,, so would like something like and
