Hi,
A couple of things to consider:
1. Like with a finger-print iPhone, if the iPhone is off, it will require your
pass-code.
2. Know that as soon as you wake the iPhone, it will start searching for your
face. Consider this for the next item.
3. Make sure that Raise to Wake is turned off.

Hi,
I find that if I hold the phone in front of my face and move it back a little
that generally works - I would say however, that the first time I set the Face
ID up I did it with VO off and my daughter helped me - then I did it again with
VO on and it works better - I think when I did it the
Hi, Tim,
I was looking at some responses to the face-id dilemma. I had someone from
Apple Support help me reset my face-id and it worked. However, i tried to
unlock it several times with no success. Is there a certain way I should be
holding my phone to make it work? iI have my attention fe
Hi,
Attention is in Settings, Face ID & Pass-Code. Normally, Attention is off by
default when VO is on, but that can be overrode.

Hi Mika,
Just to clarify in case my post was at all misleading.
1. Pressing the side button will wake the iPhone, not necessarily unlock it.
2. Press the side button and hold the iPhone facing you a foot or more from
your face.
3. If it does a double-haptic vibration, it is unlocked. If it d
Hi Tim,
Yes I have attention disabled.
One thing I did not realize was that you can press the side button to
initiate the unlock process.
What I was doins was either:
1. Swiping up from the bottom to initiate the unlock which can be
cumbersome if you are walking and carrying things etc.; or
2.
Hey there,
So, ehre's a trick, and believe me when i tell you, it has worked
every single time. I thought the same thing until i found a solution
that hasn't failed me yet.
When ou are gonna unlock your phone i know this may sound kind of
strange, but you think that if you put it right in front o
Hi,
I don't have any real issues with Face ID. Do you have the Attention feature
disabled? Normally, I just pull out my iPhone, put it in a close enough
proximity to normal position, then press the side button. Within a very short
time, I feel the double-haptic vibration and I'm good to go.
I got the iPhone 10S around launch time, and while of course face id
technically works with VoiceOver, I find its much less efficient and
time consuming than touch id. It seems to take more effort than it
did with touch id.
At least a few to several times a day I have to manually enter my
