Hi,
There is a way to turn off that notification. I believe that it is in system
preferences, mouse, and there will be an advanced option in there. I’m not
positive though and do not have a computer handy as I am out of town right now.

Hi Jonathan,
What I'm trying to do is get rid of the searching for mouse dialogue
and have something I can use in my lap. The three products I mentioned
hold an apple keyboard and trackpad together so they are like one
unit.
Thanks Jeff

I am not sure what you are trying to do. Are you just looking for a way to
have your wireless components not get lost? Also, there should not be a
practical reason to replace a Logitech keyboard with an Apple one unless
you prefer the touch of the Apple keyboards.

Me too, I'd love to use it in conjunction with my Braille display.

Hi there!
OK when your interacting with the message table and you get to the message you
wish to read!
Do a 2 finger flick left to stop interacting and then do a 1 flick right past
the vertical splitter into the message area and do a 2 finger flick right to
interact with the message text!

Hey guys thanks for the responses. It sounds like using the keyboard
with mail is just the best way to go, as if you need to toggle the
trackpad voiceover on and off you are just defeating the purpose of
speeding things up. I like the trackpad and will just use it for

Hi,
you can interact with the table, go to the message, turn trackpad commander
off, and then double tap with the trackpad. This will open the message.
Although, I'm of a mind, if your checking mail, you will more than likely be
responding and composing as well. this obviously, would require
I'm so glad you asked this question, I too have been playing with my Track Pad
and find that I can interact, read but not open things using double tap like
the I phone. I want to see if I can use the Track pad exclusively rather than
my keyboard. Is that possible?

Brian,
What I find helpful is to change the default "Speak mouse on object after
delay:" (it is worded something like that) to zero, so that there is no delay
between you touching the track pad and hearing Voiceover speak what you are
focused on. I find this most helpful when on the Internet a
Hey all, having had a trackpad for a long time and not making any use
of it, I finally started playing around with it, and it is pretty
impressive for the most part. Will be nice to give my arrow keys a
break every now and then. My question is about using mail. I can

Hi Ricardo:
Well, actually I think I must have preview panes disabled. I either get the
status info, or the message itself. And I rather like it that way, in spite of
all the caviats about opening mail:).
I'll experiment more with this and learn more.
Thanks.

Hi Carolyn,
Hmm, Do you have the preview pane showing in Apple Mail? I do and the gesture
your doing is the jump to linked iTem gesture. When you leave your finger on
the subject and press control the gesture I just mentioned is being performed.
Try holding control down first without touchi
Ricardo:
This is intetresting. When I have my finger on the subject on the trackpad, I
press ctl and press that finger down and the email's open. Haven't seen a menu
as you describe. That's the mac, all right. Full of mystery!!!:)
