Have you checked if view deleted messages is on? This is in the view menu. I
have also on occasion had the Unread smart folder not allow me to delete from
it.
Best wishes,

on my mack are also on my phone. It is frustrating me.

Hi
I guess you have tried to restart mail? I had the same problem earlier today.
Restarting mail did not fix the issuer at once, but it works now. Maybe i went
to other inboxes and it worked again after a couple of restarts of mail.
Take care

One thing I've found is this, even though I am using imap: If I find that my
inbox is empty even though I know I should have mail, I quit mail and open it
again and usually a bunch of mail shows up within a few seconds.

As for the arrow keys, try this: move to a conversation, then turn Voiceover
off. Hit right arrow to open it (up or down and then come back to the message
if that fails). Once you can hit right arrow and not get an error, turn
Voiceover back on.

They did release a fix. I think it fixed some issues, but not all. Strangely, I
didn't have any issues with Gmail and Mail until just recently. I guess that's
just the unpredictable nature of the bug.
And yes, it's an equal opportunity bug plaguing VoiceOver and non-VoiceOver
users alike. :)

Hi Nick,
I thought Apple released a fix for the issue. I it possible their patch still
didn't fix things?
More important, I'd like to know if the mail issues are VoiceOver related, or
is the problem an equal opportunity limitation opposed on all Mac users.

This doesn't sound like any problem with Mail preferences or System
Preferences. It is a known issue with gMail on Mavericks. Apple is working on a
fix, but who knows ho long before they really fix it. If you want more
information on it, a Google search is bound to bring up plenty of results.

Hello all,
I’m having serious trouble with mail, and I am not sure what to do at this
point.
The program is not downloading folders properly. It downloads some recent
messages, but not others. It skips around in downloading certain messages in my
main Google inbox.
