Trying to reinstall operating system, not sure if I did it right

I was having problems with my operating system, Lion, popping up with a log in field and no voice over even though it was set up to come on with the log in field, but it was also set to just log in without being loged in. Someone told me to reinstall Lion, using command R and holding it down unt

I don't know yet, I only turned on my computer once since then and it went directly to the desk top, but that doesn't mean anything, it only means that it hasn't had time to act weird yet. We'll see the next time I shut down and turn it back on. Keep your fingers crossed. Jenny On May 5, 2012,
