Hi there folks,
I know that you are supposed to be able to speak your moves in the chess app
that is built into your Mac computer, but for some or other reason, I cannot
get this to work.
If anyone can help with this, please let me know.

I have not played with the chess app for 5 years. I was once able to get
speakable items to work with it. You probably need to turn on speakable items
in the speach system preference. Generally when this is on any commands that
are currently known for the given app will show up in a
