Yep, all the menus are self voicing, but I can't say anything about the file
save dialogs.

One of the things that was mentioned on the Windows demo of the eyepal is that
you can browse your hard drive to put your exported text documents into the

Hi Buddy,
Your observations are interesting. I'm sorry to hear that they didn't integrate
with voice over, as Alex is a whole lot better, in my opinion, than the voices
that I heard demonstrated on the Windows demo I found on blindcooltech. What
nobody has commented on in any of the demos is wh
Ah, so that's how they do it then. Makes sense. Certainly shortens the
development curve, doesn't it?

Hi Buddy,
Interestingly, I use ProtectMac antivirus, and had to wait while the dmg was
scanned after downloading. I could see the file names inside the .app bundle as
the scan progressed through the disk image. There was a "wine" directory with a
bunch of dll files in it. It seems to be running
Hi all,
I have the eye-pal hardware already, so I'm looking forward to trying this out.
As soon as I get back from vacation I'll plug it in and see how it goes. I've
already downloaded the mac software and it seems as if it will work exactly as
it does on windows. I'll write back next week with
Hey Eric,
If you want some help or collaboration with this, let me know, as I have the
Zoomex here. (It's the 3MP camera, but appears to be supported.)

Well, good news for me. Apparently, all I had to do to use the Zoomex was to
download the software and install it. I really got a good deal, someone was
selling their barely used Zoomex, about a year or 18 months old, had to move
it, so I got a steal. That, plus $200 to get up to the latest vers
Hi Mary and all,
One of the joys of being a self-styled user support consultant is that I get to
play with some things like this for free. I've scooped up all the docs there
are and I'll be putting together some podcasts on it later on in the month.
You'll be able to get them from my website
I have no idea what they'd do regarding the price if you've already got the
camera. But their tech support person, the one and only, is out for the long
weekend, so finding anything beyond whatever is offered on the site could be
problematic.

For those who are curious and have lots of money, the above subject line says
it all. This price represents a very substantial discount off the usual price
of this device, which connects via a usb cable to a Mac or a Windows pc and
comes with software for either. The demos on the site are rather
