I have received a calendar invitation from someone using Windows and Outlook.
It appears as an attachment and when I open it, my calendar opens. How do I
deal with these types of attachments? thanks.

Across the top of the screen, there should be a row of items that includes
calendar management, and invitation accepting. I think the item you are looking
for is called inbox
